JOHNSBURG – Martin Francis Quinn, 82, of Johnsburg, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Hospice of Northeastern Illinois in Barrington.
He was born Sept. 20, 1930, in Chicago, to Martin Halvey and Margaret Alice (Byrne) Quinn.
A licensed chemical engineer, he was a graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology and Leo High School. He retired from his engineering career to be closer to his family and pursue other business interests in which the full family could participate.
He was a hardworking, humble, simple and kind person with strong values. He was thankful for everything God gave him and always gave back to those less fortunate.
Martin loved to live on Pistakee Lake and enjoyed sailing and hunting with his dogs and son.
Extra special thanks are extended for the loving care from our angel, Angele, and also Ausra, Vilma and Albina. Thanks also for the medical care by Ed Foley.
Survivors include his children, Rick (Janet) Quinn, Tim Quinn and Kim (Gary) Wagner; grandchildren, Jim and Tim Quinn, Ryan (Elisa Puracchio), and Kaitlin and Meghan Wagner; brother, Richard (Bernadine) Quinn; sister, Veronica (Jack) Galbreath; sisters-in-law, Norta (John) McAndrews and Charlotte (Jim) McDonough; and many nieces and nephews. He was especially close to David Quinn.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon Thursday, Jan. 24, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 3500 W. Washington St., McHenry. Interment will be private.
