Died: March 1, 2018; in Huntley, IL

Maxine Hischke, 88, of Sun City, Huntley, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Centegra Hospital in Huntley.

She was born November 5, 1929 in Seymour, Indiana the daughter of Albert and Enola (Burbrink) Rebber. She was raised and educated in Seymour, graduating from Seymour High School. On September 2, 1951, she was united in marriage to Robert E. Hischke. The couple made their home Norridge and later Elk Grove where they raised their family. Maxine worked for Ampex and later Bell & Howell, retiring in the late 1980's. In retirement she and her husband, Robert loved to tour the country in their motor home. She was an avid archer, was a member of two book clubs and active at Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a kind and selfless person who always thought of others and was well loved in return.

She is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Dave) Wojtkiewicz of Elgin, Marcia Hischke of Mundelein and Pamela (Claudio) DeGrassi of Elk Grove; her grandchildren, Carissa, Rossana and David, Jr.; her great-grandchildren, Michael, Madison, Ethan, Kayla and Kellow; her brothers, Charles (Alice) Rebber, Rol (Dee) Rebber; her sisters, Marilyn Watkins and Barb (Jerry) Hetrick; and her brother-in-law, Howard Luker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and her sister, Dorothy.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. and the family will greet friends after 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 17th at Trinity Lutheran Church, 11008 N. Church Street, Huntley.
