He was born Aug. 17, 1956, in Woodstock, to Howard R. Sr. and Celia "Honey" (Vigliotta) Parth.
Michael graduated from McHenry High School in 1974. In 1976, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Washington, D.C., where he was assigned to the Presidential Honor Guard and marched with his unit in many presidential events. He was extremely proud when he marched in a parade in Boston where his uncle, Anthony Vigliotta, was in attendance.
Mike was most recently employed in sales at Woodstock Harley-Davidson and at City Lights Harley-Davidson in Palatine.
He is survived by two brothers, Howard (Shirley) Parth of Temecula, Calif., and Frank (fiancee Aimee) Parth of Union Grove, Wis.; nieces and nephews, Bridget (Daniel) Parth Reno of North Carolina, Christopher Parth of Chicago, Heather Parth, Celia Parth and Lorraine Pempek; great-nephews, Cooper Reno and Jacob Breitfuss; an aunt, Josie Thompson; and Vigliotta, Faia and Gambale cousins in the Boston area and Thompson cousins of Hopkins, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandmother, Frances Parth; and an uncle, Anthony Vigliotta.
A memorial visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry.
There will be a memorial service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, at the funeral home.
