Ms. Brower was a gym teacher at Luther North who made non athletic people feel comfortable with themselves. I appreciate her dedication to the teaching profession

I, also, remember Ms. Brower from LHN. She was very encouraging, and did much to bring out the best in the young teenagers she taught, coached and advised. I did try to contact Millie about a year ago when I found out she only lived about 5 blocks from me in Sun City. There was no response. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

Mildred Brower was my Physical Education teacher Freshman & Sophomore year at Luther High North. It was my first inspiration to become a PhyEd. teacher. I taught PhyEd at Evanston Twp.High school for 38 years, thanks to that first inspiration. Inga Petermann

I have so many found memories of LHN which include "Ms Brower". Millie was our cheerleading coach and gave us a wonderfull athletic experience back when there were no after-school sports for women. Millie was avaliable for other adventurers like chaperoning a car full of senior girls to visit their friend in St. Louis. And again chaperoning a group at Brown's Lake, Wi. Millie was fun, always accepting and positive and will be remembered with love. I am not able to be at her memorial service but will be thinking of her this Wednesday....
