JOHNSBURG – Richard John Jokela, 63, a longtime resident of Johnsburg, passed away Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012. |
He was born in Bessemer, Mich., on April 20, 1949, to Arne and Linda (nee Kompsie) Jokela.
He was a lifetime Detroit Lions fan, an avid boater and basketball fan.
Richard will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Karrie (nee Killoren) Jokela; his dear children, Patrick and Valerie Jokela and Corey Nau; siblings, Rosemary (Michael) Foresta and Michael (the late Joan) Peltonen; and sister-in-law, Darla Jokela. Many other loving relatives and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three siblings, Susan Vasquez, Dean and Kurt Jokela.
The visitation will be from 4 until the 7:30 p.m. funeral service Monday, Oct. 15, at the K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Road, Fox Lake.
Interment will be private.
