HARVARD – Rosemarie A. Theiss, 78, of Harvard, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Hospice & Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois in Barrington. |
She was born July 26, 1934, in Harvard, to Burton "Smokey" and Loretta "Grace" (Finnley) Peterson.
She had worked at the McHenry County Courthouse in Woodstock and for the Harvard State Bank. Rosemarie was a longtime member of St. Joseph's Mothers Club, where she had served as president. She loved knitting and doing crafts. Rosemarie especially enjoyed being with her great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her five children, Margie (Tom) McCarthy of McHenry, Lauretta Grossklas of Lake in the Hills, Dolores Theiss of Cary, Sue (Bryan) Petrucci of Southfield, Mass., and Paula (Mike) Cummings of Crystal Lake; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and the love of her life, husband Richard on Jan. 20, 1986.
Friends may greet the family from 2 p.m. until the memorial Mass celebration at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 206 E. Front St., Harvard. The Rev. Rafael Tunarosa will officiate.
