Sue E. Leineberg Obituary
Sue E. Leineberg

Born: June 17, 1950

Died: August 2, 2018

Sue E. Leineberg (nee McClure), 68, of McHenry, IL, passed away Thursday August 2, 2018 with her loving family by her side at Journey Care Hospice in Barrington, IL. She was born June 17, 1950 to Darwin and Earlene (Kimler) McClure and she was raised in Colchester, IL and moved to Quincy in 1962 and graduated from Quincy High School in 1968. She spent 2 years at Quincy College. On September 21, 1974 she married the love of her life Gerald Charles Leineberg.

In 1980 she received her first certificate in nursing from Mt. San Antonio in California. Always at the top of her class she continued to study in nursing until she met her dream job of being a RN working as a CCU nurse at Pomona Valley hospital in California. She was a multimedia artist with many talents. She accomplished several things through her lifetime such as writing a collection of children's books called Buzzy McBee. Combining her creativity, her passion for art and love for family. Sue spent several years running a small family business called Fayzee. She volunteered much of her time whenever it was needed. The lives she touched are endless.

She loved to play and coach softball. She bowled in a league for many years and she was an avid golfer. She was a member at Geneva National in Wisconsin and McHenry Country Club. It was there that she met many of her life long best friends. She had a hole in one in July of 2017 and was a past senior club champion at Geneva National.

Sue had an uncanny ability to make everyone laugh. No one else had the ability to light up a room with just a smile quite the she did. It is our greatest hope that everyone who remembers her will always think of a story in which she touched your heart in some beautiful way. That's what she did, that's who she was.

Sue is survived by her loving husband Gerry; her beloved children, Jason, Joseph (Staci) and Amanda Leineberg; grandchildren, Andi and Georgia Leineberg, Johnny Kincaid, Graci Leineberg; her brother, Edward (Kathy) McClure; niece and nephew, Cheri and Andrew McClure; her loving therapy dog, Gabby.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Larry McClure.

Sue's family would like to thank all of their family and friends who have shown us so much love and support. Also Journey Care Hospice for all their love and kindness.

A celebration of life will be at a later date.

Fly with the Angels Momma we love you!
