Thomas C. Decker, age 91, of Cary, lL passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, November 19, 2017.

He was born February 21, 1926 in Watseka, IL, the son of Alexander and Mary Decker. Thomas served in the Navy in WWII. He was president of Todec Corp. a building and developing firm in Cary, IL. The Cary Industrial Center, Northwood Acres and Eastgate Subdivision were several of his projects. He was always a giving and generous individual and was especially proud to have built and donated the "Thomas C. Decker Cary Area Public Library" to the Village. He was also a big fan of "Education" setting up a local scholarship Fund.

He led an extraordinary life and was well traveled with treks in Africa, Australia, China, Japan, and Europe and even camped out in a yurt in the Himalayas. He really surprised his wife when he partnered in a gold mine in the Yukon.

He is survived by his wife, Alice and four children. Daughters, Pamela Decker (Brad Miller) of Arizona, Patricia (Robert) Dressel of Colorado, Stephanie Decker (Trey Paulissen) of California; and son, Bryan Decker of California. Six Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patricia; son, Daniel; and great granddaughter, Fairyn.

Cremation service will be held in California with a memorial service at a later date.
