Virginia M. Visin Obituary
Virginia M. Visin Born: May 2, 1923; Cicero, IL Died: Dec. 28, 2013; Woodstock, IL Virginia Mary Visin (Ginny), age 90, of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully at Centegra Hospital on December 28, 2013. Ginny was born May 2, 1923, in Cicero, Illinois, the daughter of Lillian and Jerome Zajicek. On April 10, 1943, she married the love of her life and best friend, Robert J. Visin. Together, Bob and Ginny raised four daughters and made numerous lifetime friends. A wonderful cook, Ginny also enjoyed gardening, reading, knitting, and visiting with family and friends. A sixty-six year resident of Crystal Lake, Ginny served the community as a member of the Service League of Crystal Lake, P.E.O. Chapter LD, and Sherman Hospital Auxiliary. Ginny worshiped at the First United Methodist Church of Crystal Lake for fifty years, joined the women 's Dorcas Circle, and prepared the sanctuary for Sunday services. Ginny is survived by her loving children, Pamela (Mike) Byers, Melinda (Ted) Eckhardt, Deborah (John) Hindman, and Melissa (Tim) Giles; fourteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her sister, Patricia Andel of Lake in the Hills. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Visin; parents, Lillian and Jerome; and brothers, James, Jerome, and Thomas. Honoring Ginny 's love of flowers, the Inurnment and Memorial Service will be held in spring, at the First United Methodist Church, 236 Crystal Lake Avenue, Crystal Lake, IL 60014. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Crystal Lake Interfaith Food Pantry, 257 King Street, Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
