Lorraine Mae Weichman

WOODSTOCK – Lorraine Mae Weichman, 77, of Woodstock, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, at the Hospice of Northeastern Illinois Care Center, surroundedby her loving family.

She was born June 26, 1933, in Woodstock, to Charles and Ethel Axelson.

She married Lester F. Weichman on Nov. 1, 1952, in Woodstock.

She was always known to have an open door to anyone who needed a place to stay. She enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends. She was known for her desserts at any family gathering. She also was known to tell stories of the good ol' days.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years; two children, Deborah Orosz of Woodstock and Crystal Krich of Lula, Ga.; four grandchildren, Christopher and Charles Orosz, and Sarah and Kyle Krich; three great-grandchildren, Kaylee Moore, Ella Orosz and Olivia Orosz; a sister, Karen Soky of LaVergne, Tenn., and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Richard Axelson; and two sisters, Devonna Axelson and Margaret Dempsey.

The visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the funeral at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, at Christ Life Church, 13614 W. Jackson St., Woodstock. Burial will be in McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can bemade to Hospice of Northeastern Illinois.
