MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – Edward Joseph Orszula, 74, of Mountain Home, Ark., passed away Monday, April 2, 2012, at Cox-South Medical Center in Springfield, Mo.|
He was born March 20, 1938, in Berwyn, to Gustav and Bernice Orszula. On April 19, 1975, he married Lorene L. Hessenthaler in Lombard, and moved to Mountain Home seven years ago from Harvard.
Mr. Orszula was a member of St. Thomas Anglican Church. He earned bachelor's and master's degrees and taught English literature at McHenry County College and College of Lake County, Ozarka College at Ash Flat, Ark., and taught for a year at Arkansas State University-Mountain Home. Mr. Orszula also was a retired insurance agent, realtor and tax accountant. He enjoyed coaching Little League, sports, reading and watching the New York Yankees.
He is survived by his wife, Lorene L. "Lorie" Orszula; five sons, Mark (Cynthia) Orszula, Kevin Orszula, Timothy (Kerri) Orszula, Eric (Natalie) Danner and Christopher (Lori) Danner; a daughter, Deborah Maurer; a sister, Sandi (Harry) Lantvit; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Walter Orszula; and a sister, Josephine Walder.
