McHENRY – Charles D. Noland, 68, of McHenry, died Saturday, June 9, 2012, at his home.
He was born Feb. 21, 1944, in Chicago, to James and Anna (Leon) Noland. On April 8, 1990, he married Sheila J. Frydrych at St. Michael Catholic Church in Chicago.
A veteran of the U. S. Army, he served from 1962-65.
He had been employed by the Secretary of State for 15 years, working at the licensing bureau in Woodstock. He was previously employed as a sales representative for Keebler for 25 years.
He loved life in the country, and was a friend of Bill. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in McHenry.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Sheila; a daughter, Laura (Mark) Reece of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Connor and Trevor; a sister, Alberta (the late Al) Viehland of Eureka, Mo.; and a sister-in-law, Karen Halla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James Halla; and two sisters, Anna (the late John) Lagattuta and Marge (the late Michael) Lagattuta.
The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry. The visitation will resume from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, at the funeral home, before leaving for the 11 a.m. funeral Mass celebration at St. Mary's Church, 1401 N. Richmond Road, McHenry.
Interment will be private for the family in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles.
