JOHNSBURG – Frances M. Poczkalski, 85, of Johnsburg, died Sunday, June 10, 2012, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born Nov. 28, 1926, in Streator to Paul and Mary (Concente) Fricano. On Sept. 26, 1953, she married Raymond C. Poczkalski at St. Mary's Church in Chicago. Frances was the youngest child of 11. She and her husband moved to Johnsburg in 1971 from Chicago. Frances was a homemaker and in her spare time she enjoyed playing bingo at the Johnsburg Community Club and at the Fox Lake VFW. She was an excellent cook and especially enjoyed the holidays. Christmas Eve was her favorite holiday. She loved having family gatherings and especially loved caring for her family. She was a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Johnsburg. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Raymond; her children, Mary (Roger) Smith of Arlington Heights, Paul (Cynthia) of Lisle, Pamela (Michael) LaFontaine of Johnsburg, Raymond (Betsy) Poczkalski of Johnsburg, Stephan (Meredith) Poczkalski of Johnsburg, Joseph (Sarah) Poczkalski of Twin Lakes, Wis.; grandchildren, Donald, Alison, Paul, Joey, Bryan, Stephanie, Daniel, Katie, Joseph, Rachael, Julia and Steven; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and five sisters. The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry. The visitation will resume from 8:15 a.m. Friday, June 15, until prayers at 9:15 a.m., leaving in procession for the 10 a.m. funeral Mass at St. John the Baptist Church, 2302 W. Church St., Johnsburg. Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Johnsburg. For those wishing to send an expression of condolence, the family suggests memorials to
