CRYSTAL LAKE – Norma Leone Guse, 86, of Crystal Lake, died Saturday, July 14, 2012, at Bickford Assisted Living in Crystal Lake.
She was born Nov. 4, 1925, in Garden Prairie to Walter and Audrey Fredrickson. She married Alfred Guse on Feb. 10, 1945, in Garden Prairie. Together they farmed for 16 years in Cary, then 42 years in Huntley. She enjoyed working word puzzles and journaling and was a member of the Union Lioness Club.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandy (Gene) Konaszewski of Crystal Lake and Sharon (Joe) Deutsch of Corona, Calif.; and two nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sisters, Imogene Wascher and Ione Beal; and an infant son.
The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Highway, Marengo. The visitation will resume from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service Thursday, July 19, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Garden Prairie Cemetery.
