WOODSTOCK – Lenora A. Wright, 97, of Woodstock, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at Hearthstone Manor Nursing Home in Woodstock.
She was born March 2, 1915, in Bluffs, to Bennie Ray and Rachel E. (Hatter) Torrance. In 1949, she married Glen Wright.
She was very proud of working at North American Aviation during World War II. She was a member at First United Methodist Church in Woodstock for many years. She was also active in the Ridgefield Grange. She enjoyed making porcelain dolls.
She is survived by a son, Ronald D. (Bonnie) Nunes; a stepdaughter, Betty Leonard; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glen; and five sisters and one brother.
The visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at First United Methodist Church, 201 W. South St., Woodstock. The Rev. Kurt Gamlin will preside. Burial will be in McHenry County Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois, Attn: Foundation, 405 Lake Zurich Road, Barrington, IL 60010-3141.
