HUNTLEY – Margaret McCord Toepke (nee Mullen), 98, of Huntley and formerly of Champaign and Bloomington, passed away Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at Crystal Pines Health Care Center, Crystal Lake.
She was born Oct. 16, 1913, in Farmer City, to the late Robert and Catherine (nee Hughes) Mullen.
The memorial visitation will be from 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, until the Mass celebration at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 405 W. Clark St., Champaign.
The celebrant will be the Reverend Fr. Richard L. Mullen, brother of the deceased. A luncheon will follow the Mass. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Farmer City.
In addition to her brother, survivors include her daughters, Mary Madeline (the late Jerry) Bickness of Huntley, Caroline (Pat) Thatcher of Lillington, N.C., and Jean McCord of Glenview; her grandchildren, Beth Wunschel, Julie (Larry) Mays, Katie (Jeff) Keen, Nancy (Chris) Angelos, Meg (Sid) Pike, Eric Bergland, Clayton (Melissa) and Luke Weber and John (Eliza) and Robert Oates; her great-grandchildren, Mallory and Brad Wunschel, Kylie and Taylor Keen, Sydney and Alex Angelos, Stephanie, Vaughn, and Hannah Mays, Lennox Bergland, Clayton Jr., Makayla, and Brayden Weber and Abby and Megan Oates; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and son-in-law, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Ray McCord and Victor Toepke; and siblings, Edna, Katherine, Robert E. (Helen) and Jerry (Katherine) Mullen.
