Paul Vincent Love Obituary
ALGONQUIN – Paul Vincent Love, 91, of Algonquin, passed away peacefully in his sleep Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at his home.
He was born Nov. 11, 1920, in Crystal City, Mo., to Edward and Christine (Coleman) Love. On June 27, 1948, he married Hilda Hoffman at Zion Lutheran Church in Ottawa.
He worked for many years as a ledger clerk at Libbey Owens Ford Glass Factory and was active in the union there.
Paul lived in Ottawa until 12 years ago, when he and his wife, Hilda, moved to the Crystal Lake area to be close to their daughter, Cindy. He was a true Renaissance man; he enjoyed history, loved music and was particularly fond of singing. He published a book and wrote many collections of poems.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda; daughter, Cindy (Frank) Zimmerman; and granddaughters, Natalie K. Frosch and Stephanie J. (Christopher) Blaha.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at Bethany Lutheran Church, 76 W. Crystal Lake Ave., Crystal Lake. The visitation will continue from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at Zion Lutheran Church, 622 W. Jefferson St., Ottawa. Interment will be in Oakwood Memorial Park in Ottawa.
Memorials may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church.
