HAZEL GREEN, Wis. – Patricia M. "Pat" (McGovern) Disch, 73, of Hazel Green and formerly of Chicago and Des Plaines, passed away Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at home.|
Pat was born March 24, 1939, in Chicago, daughter of James F. and Julia (Lynch) McGovern. She married Kenneth Disch on May 6, 1976, in Chicago.
She was employed at General Electric Supply Company as a sales engineer for 20 years.
Pat and Ken moved to Hazel Green, Wis., in 1992, and owned and operated The Wisconsin House Bed and Breakfast. Pat enjoyed decorating the bed and breakfast, and meeting wonderful people. She was an excellent baker, especially at making her chocolate chip cookies.
She was a member of St. Raphael Cathedral parish in Dubuque, Iowa.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth, of Hazel Green; a sister, Maureen (friend Carmen Pinnavari) Garcia of Trout Valley; a brother, James (Joanne) McGovern of Des Plaines, a sister-in-law, Donna Tanner of Chicago; and many nieces, nephews; and great-nieces and -nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call from 8:30 a.m. until the service at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at St. Raphael Cathedral in Dubuque. The Rev. Daniel Knepper will officiate.
