Obituary Condolences

BARABOO, Wis. – Lorraine R. Kerschke, 86, of Baraboo, Wis., died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at Our House Senior Living in Baraboo.
She was born in Palatine, the daughter of Herman and Laura Berlin. On Aug. 28, 1948, she married Roger K. Kerschke. Together they farmed in the Loganville, Wis., area for many years. Lorraine also worked at Paul Bunyan in Wisconsin Dells until her retirement. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, word search puzzles and playing cards. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Loganville.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth (Suki) Kerschke of New Lisbon, Wis., and Robert (Caroline) Kerschke of Marengo; five grandchildren, Linda (Shane) Gibson, Rob (Sue) Kerschke, Ken Kerschke Jr., Katie (Jamie) Gallagher and Jason (Katie) Kerschke; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard (Beverly) Brumm of Inverness; two sisters-in-law, Elaine Berlin and Phyllis Held; a brother-in-law, Earl (Shirley) Kerschke; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger, on Dec. 15, 2006; her parents; and one brother, Melvin Berlin.
The family received friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, at Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg, Wis.
The funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Loganville, Wis., with Pastor Christopher Miller officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
