Carol W. Johnson, age 77, of Kissimmee, FL and formerly of Union passed away May 9, 2014 at Cornerstone Hospice in Winter Park, FL.

She was born April 13, 1937 in McLean County to Floyd and Florence (Lappin) Wright. On September 24, 1955, she married Walter Johnson in Marengo.

Carol worked part time at Levin's Dry Goods in Marengo for many years, was a Cub Scout Den mother and held several past positions in the Women's Circle at St. John's United Church of Christ. She took great pride in raising her children, spending time with her grandchildren and working in her garden.

She is survived by her children, Richard Johnson of Markesan, WI, Laurie (Joseph) Randazzo of Kissimmee, FL, and Jeff (Kitty) Johnson of Marengo; grandchildren, Sean (Michelle) Johnson, Brianna Johnson, Blain Johnson, Jacob Johnson, and Justine Johnson; and great-grandchildren, Sunni, Griffin, and Nalla; brothers, Gerald (Janet) Wright and Roger Wright; sister-in-law, Helen Wright; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, and her brother, Harold.

Visitation will be from 10:00am to 11:00am on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at St. John's United Church of Christ, 17824 Jefferson St., Union, IL 60180. The funeral service will be at 11:00am. Rev. Frank Szewczyk will officiate. Interment will be in Union Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ or to the hospice organization of your choice in honor of the great work they do.
