Betty L. Clark

Born: July 1, 1936; in Wilkensburg, PA

Died: June 18, 2014;

Betty L. Clark (nee Reighart) of Naperville, Illinois formerly of Huntley, Illinois and Buffalo Grove, Illinois, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, surrounded by her family. She was born July 1, 1936 in Wilkensburg, Pennsylvania. Betty grew up in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. She became a medical technician with certification in phlebotomy and radiology, and worked in this area for over 15 years. She then started a career in real estate and moved on to mortgage financing and underwriting before retiring in 2006. Betty and her husband, Stanley raised their family and lived in Buffalo Grove for over 30 years before retiring to Sun City in Huntley, Illinois. Betty was an active church member in both Buffalo Grove and Huntley where she participated in Bible studies and served as a Stephen's minister. Betty was an avid reader and enjoyed book clubs. She and Stan joined a movie group early in their marriage and those friends were central in their life. After she relocated to Huntley she became involved neighborhood activities including writing the neighborhood newsletter, bunco, and mahjong. Her most recent location to Naperville came after her husband's passing. She moved to Monarch Landing and immediately became immersed in all the community offered.

Betty is survived by her children, Jeffrey S. (Nancy) Clark, Scott D. (Kathryn) Clark, Lisa A. (Howard) Heckes, Scott A. Clark; her six granddaughters; and her brother, R. Lee Reighart.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Stanley Clark, and her parents.

A Memorial Service for Betty will be held Friday, June 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Kingswood United Methodist Church, 401 W. Dundee Rd., Buffalo Grove, IL 60089.

Memorials may be directed in Betty's honor to Kingswood United Methodist Church
