Devin Alan Rahn, age 26, of Huntley, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014 at his home. He was born in Arlington Heights on May 5, 1988, the son of Mark Rahn and Elke (Bove) Rahn. Devin was a 2006 graduate of Jacobs High School where he played tennis and football, and a graduate of Iowa State where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He worked at the Costco in L.I.T.H. for 5 years in the tire dept. during his college years. He was very smart and a self-motivated man. Devin was a very funny amateur comedian, co-founder of Dead End Comedy Club at the Penny Road Pub in Barrington. He was very artistic and creative. He played the guitar, loved funny videos and also making them. Devin was a great son and brother and will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.
He is survived by his parents; paternal grandparents, Richard and (Shirley) Rahn; brother and sisters, Corey, Markie and Alexandra; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and childhood friends, Mark Smith and Brian Smith.
A Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 10:00 am until the 12:00 noon service at Journey Church, 10711 Wolf Drive, Huntley with the Rev. Bruce Cole officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family will be collecting funds to be donated to a charity that is yet to be determined in remembrance of Devin.
