Michael Andrew Korpan, 38, passed away unexpectedly at his home Saturday, May 14, 2016.
Born December 4, 1977, in Waukegan, Mike was a 1996 graduate of Cary Grove High School, and played hockey. He had a great love of music, fishing, boating, camping, and being with his friends.
Survivors include his parents, Debbie (Fred) Cardella and Andrew (the late Denise) Korpan; brother, Ken (Becky) Korpan; nephew and godson, Dylan Michael Korpan; longtime girlfriend, Nicole Serio; uncle, Walter (Ann) Korpan; aunt, Nancy (Glen) Labrose; grandmother, Barbara Keller; cousins, Wally and Katy (fianc Jerad Riddle) Korpan and Nicholas Labrose; and step siblings, Fred and Carrie Cardella, and Linda Shanks.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Anna and Walter Korpan, Raymond Janczewski, and George Keller; and by step mother, Denise Korpan.
The visitation will be Sunday, May 22, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 6:00 p.m., at Hamsher Lakeside Funerals and Cremations, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake. Inurnment will be private.
