Kevin Thomas Bischoffer Obituary
GILBERTS - Kevin Thomas Bischoffer, 44, of Gilberts, passed away Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin.

He was born Jan. 4, 1965, in Arlington Heights, to Thomas and Darlene nee Borgardt Bischoffer.

He attended Hampshire schools and was a member of the 1983 graduating class of Hampshire High School. He also attended Eastern Illinois University and then began working for his father's trucking company, T&T Transfer, in Elk Grove Village.

In 1999, he opened his own trucking company, Cargo Tech, and married Kelley L. Coranato on April 24 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Elgin. They were blessed with beautiful 7-year-old twin children, Ryan and Lauren, and they were members of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Elgin.

Surviving are his wife, Kelley; his children, Ryan and Lauren; his parents, Tom and Darlene of Sun City, Huntley; a sister, Deborah (Steve) Peterson of Prospect Heights; a brother, Brian (Melissa) Bischoffer of Las Vegas; his grandfather, Raymond Bischoffer; four nieces and nephews, Thomas, Jacob and Stephanie Peterson and Chester Bischoffer; his aunts and uncles, Nancy (Fred) Abrell, Earlie Fires, Muriel (Rich) Wilson, Mary (Carl) Jewell and Tim Bischoffer; and many cousins and good friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Fred and Audrey Borgardt; his paternal grandmother, Muriel Bischoffer; and his aunt, Kathleen Fires.

The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Fredrick Funeral Home, 284 Park St., Hampshire, with a Rosary at 4:15 p.m. and wake prayers at 7:45 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 297 E. Jefferson St., Hampshire, with the Rev. Joseph Nicolosi and Monsignor Thomas Dempsey officiating. Burial will be in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Hampshire.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions directed to the Kevin Bischoffer Memorial Fund (for his children's education) would be much appreciated.
