WONDER LAKE – Wayne Allen Politick Sr., 62, of Wonder Lake, died unexpectedly Saturday, March 27, 2010, at Centegra Hospital - McHenry. |
He was born Dec. 5, 1947, in Chicago, to George and Eleanor (Kasdorf) Politick.
He was a career fire fighter serving many local towns. He most recently served in Carpentersville and Wonder Lake.
He enjoyed bowling, was an avid fisherman, NASCAR fan and a Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan. He was a doting grandfather and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen; five children, William Kuck, Denise (Ken) Baum, Wayne Politick, April Romero and Kat (Jason) Judd; seven grandchildren; his mother, Eleanor Politick; a brother, Gerry (Bev) Politick of Crystal Lake; and two sisters, Lois (Bruce) Wick of Sugar Grove and Linda (Bud) Biggs of Ripley, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his father.
The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 1, at Justen's Wonder Lake Funeral Home, 7611 Hancock Drive, Wonder Lake. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 2, at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery, McHenry.
