Obituary Condolences

WOODSTOCK – Michael E. Felten, 64, a 15-year resident of Woodstock, formerly of Mount Prospect, passed away Dec. 10, 2010, at Hospice and Pallitative Care of Northeastern Illinois in Woodstock.

He was born Jan. 9, 1946, in Chicago. He was an Army veteran who served in Vietnam and retired as a Mount Prospect police officer. He also had worked for WW Granger of Lake Forest. He and his wife, Barb, raised horses and other animals. He especially loved his black lab, O.J.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Felten, nee Ward; his children, Michael E. Felten of Las Vegas, Tina M. Felten of Venice, Fla., and William Felten of Chicago; his grandchildren, Taylor Felten and the late Sidney Felten; and a brother, Jim Felten.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Florence (Ebbeson) Felten.

A memorial will be held in Lake Vermillion, Minn., in the summer.
