LAKE GENEVA, Wis. – Greg E. Homola, 55, of Lake Geneva, Wis., died Sunday, July 24, 2011, in Lake County.

He was born Sept. 15, 1955, in Elgin, to parents Kenneth and Wyonna (Pitcok) Homola. He was proud to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was united in marriage to Shelia Lamkin on Feb. 17, 1979, in Woodstock. He worked as a union carpenter, first working for other companies, but lately was self-employed.

He is survived by his wife, Shelia of Lake Geneva; his sons, Steven of Lake Geneva, Kevin of Walworth, Wis., and Michael of the United States Marine Corps; his daughters, Keni and husband Aaron Stamm of Scott AFB and Alisa Homola of Fontana, Wis.; his brothers, Jeff and wife Suzy of Incline Village, Nev., and Tim and wife Debbie of Barrington; his sisters, Terri and husband Jim Welisek of Sherwood, Wis., Heidi Homola of Woodstock, Robi and husband Glen Vollkommer of Schaumburg, Jacqueline and husband Dave Billingham of Spring Grove and Mandy Williams of Texas; his grandchildren, Cali, Allison, Hope, Tory, Anthony, Haley, Coby and Nicholas Rowe, and Kayla and Kenton Stamm; and a great-grandchild, Seth Rowe.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents (Mema and Buppa).

The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 28, at Calvary Community Church in Williams Bay, Wis. Services for Greg Homola will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 29, at the church. Interment will be in Linn-Hebron Cemetery, rural Hebron.
