Kenneth E. Dodge Sr. Born: Nov. 18, 1931; in Chicago Died: N ov. 28, 2013; in Johnsburg Kenneth E. Dodge Sr., age 82, of Johnsburg, died Thursday, November 28, 2013 at his home in Johnsburg. He was born November 18, 1931 in Chicago to Thomas and Beulah (Badger) Dodge. On June 7, 1952 he married Theresa J. Esposito at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Chicago. Ken was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean War. Formerly of Rosemont, Ken relocated to Florida for three years and then back to Illinois moving to Johnsburg in 1974. He began his career in plumbing working for his brother-in-law from 1959 until starting his own plumbing business, Dodge & Sons, in 1973. He retired in 1990. In his youth he enjoyed camping and spending summers at their summer home in Twin Lakes. In 1983 he purchased Eagle Flats Campgrounds in Wisconsin Dells. He was a member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Theresa; four children, Kenneth Jr. (Sharon) Dodge of Johnsburg, Lawrence (Jodie) Dodge of Johnsburg, William (Doreen) Dodge of Wonder Lake, Pamela (Shannon) Parker of Johnsburg; twelve grandchildren, Kenneth Dodge, Joseph (Kristy) Dodge, Andrew (Tally) Dodge, Brian (Sarah) Dodge, Melissa (Justin) O 'Donnell, Aimee (Tyson) Swibaker, Cecelia Long, Jesse Long, Geneva Long, Samantha Wakitsch, Abby Wakitsch, Makenzi Wakitsch; ten great grandchildren; a brother, Thomas (June) Dodge, and two sisters, Delores (George) McCauley, Patricia (the late Edward) Quinn He was preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa on September 24, 2008; and his parents. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, December 2, 2013 at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, Il 60050. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, December 3, from 8:30 a.m. until prayers at 9:15 a.m. leaving for the 10 a.m. funeral Mass at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, 2302 W.
