Eugene A. Rosio Obituary
Eugene A. Rosio Born: April 15, 1933; In Rhinelander, WI Died: Feb. 23, 2014; In Woodstock, IL Eugene A. Rosio, age 80, of Harvard, passed away February 23, 2014 at Journey Care Hospice in Woodstock. He was born April 15, 1933 in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. to Raymond and Catherine (Rolain) Rosio. In September of 1956, he married Ruth Patton and enjoyed a fifty six year marriage. Eugene attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He was an Army veteran of the United States serving during the Korean War time. He taught at McHenry High School for thirty five years in science, agriculture, welding, power mechanics and auto mechanics and a FFA advisor. He was a volunteer fireman with the Alden, Hebron Greenwood fire department, and enjoyed fishing, camping, automotive repair and was a part time inventor. Survivors include his children, Gina (Rick) Papworth of Belvidere, Amy (Francisco) Cesar of Woodstock, Eugene Andrew (Doreen) Rosio of Woodstock, Natalie (Brian) Lovato of Elkhorn, Wi. and Allen (Tawnya) Rosio of Alden. Eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A sister, Janet (Marvin) Haase, brothers, Glen, Richard and Dale Rosio. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a brother, Roland Rosio. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00AM unil 1:00PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 591 Ridgeview Drive, McHenry proceeding to Alden Cemetery for interment with military rites. A Celebration of Life will take place at 6:00 PM on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at St. John Lutheran Church, 8912 St. Albans Street, Hebron, IL 60034. If desired, memorials may be made to the family.
