Born: May 27, 1957; in Woodstock, IL

Died: Nov. 30, 2014; in Fox Lake, IL

Michael P. Klapperich, age 57, passed away Sunday, November 30, at his home in Fox Lake. He was born on May 27, 1957, in Woodstock, the son of John P and Eileen C (Greaney) Klapperich.

Michael was a proud US Marine who served during the Viet Nam War. He was a great fan of sports, and loved fishing and spending time with his MANY friends. He truly had a heart of gold.

He is survived by his children, Peter, Jamie and Jonathan. Also surviving are 5 granddaughters; his mother, Eileen; brothers and sisters, Kathie (Terry) Lynd of McHenry, Jim (Marcia) Klapperich of McCullom Lake, Tim (Terri) Klapperich of Wonder Lake, Patti (Jim) Osswald of Wonder Lake and the love of his life, Linda Dalka.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, John; a sister, Diane Laney; a brother, Danny Klapperich; and a niece, Grace Cisler.

Visitation will take place on Friday, December 5, from 10:00 a.m. to the 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 3500 W. Washington St., McHenry, IL 60050. Interment will be in St. Patrick Countryside Cemetery following the Mass.
