Bob H. Vickers, 62, of Harvard died Friday, June 12, 2015, at Mercy Harvard Hospital. He was born November 7, 1952, in Harvard to Floyd and Mary Jane (Anderson) Vickers. On April 12, 1991, he married Terry Bauman in Las Vegas. Bob owned and operated Bob's Machining in Harvard for 30 years. He was a member of Harvard Moose Lodge #1289. Bob enjoyed collecting American Flyer trains and was known for baking rhubarb pies. Bob also enjoyed golfing, bowling, boating, snowmobiling, motorcycles, his dogs and his "toy", a Chevy Nova.
Survivors include his wife, Terry; four children, Jennifer (David) Goldfein of Barrington Hills, Charity (Rob) Cook of Wind Lake, WI, Melissa (Nate Brandt) Swartzbaugh of Sycamore and Jordyn Vickers of Milwaukee; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Shoshana, Sabrina, Greg, Ashley, Lucy, and Preslea; sister, Vicky (Brian) Mattson of Colorado; step-brothers, Jim and Donnie Vermett.
He was preceded in death by his parents and step-mother, Jeanette Vickers.
The memorial gathering will be from 10:00 a.m. To 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 20 at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard. The memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m.
