Died: Nov. 17, 2015; in McHenry, IL
Carl J. Oehler, Jr., age 82, of McHenry, passed away on November 17, 2015 in McHenry. He was born on August 7, 1933 in Niles Center, the son of Carl J. and Helen (Higgins) Oehler. On October 20, 1956, he married Nancy A. Rudolph, in Skokie.
Mr. Oehler was a sheet metal worker with Local 73. He was an U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the NRA. Carl belonged to the Twin Runner Snowmobile Club where he was a safety instructor, and he was a Country Rep for the Association of Wisconsin Snowmobile Club. He had a membership with the American Goldwing Association, and he cruised Route 66 from Florida to the Santa Monica Pier, California. He enjoyed riding his UTV Razor.
Carl is survived by his wife, Nancy; and his children, Guy (Dorlene) Oehler of LaFarge, Wisconsin, Arden (Wayne) Grossich of McHenry, and Dennis Oehler of Evergreen Colorado; his grandson, Cody Oehler; his nieces and nephews from Ohio; as well as handful of his dearest friends that were always there for him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Helen Reith; a grandson, Carl C Oehler; his uncles, Art, Sam, and Bill; and an aunt, Ida.
The visitation will take place on Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home and Crematory, 591 Ridgeview Dr., McHenry, IL 60050. On Friday, November 20, the visitation will continue at the Funeral Home from 9:30 to 10:30 AM with the Funeral Service at 10:30. Burial will follow at Wilmot Cemetery, Wilmot, Wisconsin.

Carl was great at the rallies. It was good to talk to him. He will be missed at the AGWA rallies and other motorcycle rides. I will remember the side car and the lights, etc.

Carl was always a STRAIGH SHOOTER he never held back and many things could be learned from him.
I was just thinking about him yesterday and now i know why My sincere condolences to the OEHLER family he will be missed by many but never forgotten
