JAMES E. STEWART "PAW PAW JIM" PAW PAW, MI James E. Stewart, age 65, of Paw Paw, MI, formerly of Hammond, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, December 31, 2012 at his home on Three Mile Lake with his loving wife by his side. Jim is also survived by his sons: Joe (Sylvia), Matt (Tiff), and Nathan (Wendy) Stewart; daughter, Theresa Ann Stewart; stepchildren: Lalani Gomez (Steve Love), Diane Hayes, and Shannon Johnson; 10 grandchildren; one brother, Guy Stewart; and former wife, Carolyn Stewart. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry Stewart; nine brothers; and one sister. A special thank you to our pastor and church family for hugs, prayers, and support. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Black Oak Baptist Church, 6502 W. 25th Ave., Gary with Rev. Bob Parnell officiating. Cremation to follow. Friends are invited to meet with the family from 10:00 a.m. to time of services at the church. Jim was a member of the Black Oak Baptist Church of Gary. He was retired from Inland Steel after 33 years, and went on to be a bus driver for the last five years for VBISD School District. Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid ourdoorsman and truly loved life. He was involved with the Boy Scouts of America serving as a Scout Leader for many years. More than anything else, Jim loved his wife, Theresa; his children and grandchildren; as well as all of his countless close friends - too many to mention. On September 1, 2006, Jim was united to his loving and devoted wife, Theresa (Sheets) Stewart who survives. www.kuiperfh.com
