JULIA LEBRON-ALVAREZ MERRILLVILLE, IN Julia Lebron-Alvarez, 81 of Merrillville, IN, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Methodist Hospital in Merrillville, IN. Julia was born January 6, 1932 in Lares, Puerto Rico the daughter of Arcelia Alvarez and Emiliano Lebron. Julia was the kindest, most loving and giving person anyone could ever meet. She was adored by all. She loved caring for and raising her nine children. Julia went on to care for her grandchildren and has touched each and every one of their lives. She was the glue and heart of this large, loving family. Julia will be deeply missed. Julia is survived by her brother, Luis (Martha) Lebron-Alvarez; sister, Lucia (Jose) Rios; nine children: Rosa Pabey, Francisco (Julie) Gonzalez, David Gonzalez, Edwin Gonzalez, Sonia (Felix) Rosa, Damary Medina, Costancio (Sandra) Gonzalez, Nelson Gonzalez and Evette (Serafin) Roman; 25 grandchildren; and 29 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, June 24, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Ridgelawn Funeral Home, 4201 West Ridge Road, Gary, IN 46408. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Main Chapel at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy donations can be made to Sonia Rosa. Julia will be deeply missed by her loving family and precious friends. God Grant Her Eternal Rest.

My deepest and most heartfelt condolences. I feel so blessed to have had the honor of knowing and spending so much time with Julia...she was like a second mom to me as Evette and I grew up and become moms for the first time. I love her dearly. She will be deeply missed but I'm glad I have memories that I will always cherish. Love you guys, my prayers are with you today and always.

Rosa,Sonia,Damary and family words cannot express the sadness in my heart when i heard of your mom's passing. She was a beautiful,loving mother,grandmother great grandmother and dear friend.
