HELEN GONZALEZ PORTGAGE, IN Helen Gonzalez, age 85, of Portage, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014 at St. Mary Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 19, 1928 to the late Delfina and Everardo Rodriguez. Helen is survived by her children, Carol (Witold) Lesniewski, Elizabeth (Rodolfo) Martinez and Debra (Eric) Peterson; grandchildren, Robert Anderson, Stacey Martinez, Marcin Lesniewski and Megan Woolsey. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Robert Gonzalez and one daughter, Susan Gonzalez Woolsey. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Avenue, Portage. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church, 2949 Willowcreek Road, Portage with Rev. Andrew Corona officiating. A Graveside service will take place at 1:30 PM at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Evergreen Park, IL. For more information please call (219) 762-3013.
