RETHA J. McCLAIN HAMMOND, IN Retha J. McClain, age 78, of Hammond, passed away Monday April 22, 2013. She is survived by her children: Crystal (Richard) Kleckner, Tammy (David) Meyers, Tracy (Jason) Gore and Kenneth Plosser; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; siblings: James Shawver, Mae Edwards and David Shawver; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Oden; and her parents. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 6:30 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory, 14 Kennedy Ave. (corner of Main and Kennedy) Schererville with Deacon Raymond Helfen officiating. Cremation at Solan Pruzin to follow. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 2:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home. Retha cherished the time spent with her loving family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in your time of loss. Although I had only met your mother at the River once or twice, I remember her as being sweet and kind.
