MICHAEL GAYLOR LANSING, IL Michael Gaylor, 61 of Lansing, formerly of Whiting, IN passed away at home surrounded by his family after battling cancer. Mike was a devoted and loving husband, proud father and grandfather who always maintained a positive attitude. Mike leaves behind Sophie (Profilovich), his loving wife of 38 years; children: Sara (Brian) Basiaga, Jeffrey (Elizabeth) and Greg; granddaughter, Kaylee Basiaga and grandson, Liam Gaylor. Mike is also survived by his mother, Virginia (Torzewski) Gaylor; sisters: Patti (Frank )Bowman, Sharon (Kevin) Herakovich, Kathy DeHenes, along with brother-in-law, Chris Profilovich and sister-in- law, Karen Pusic; and several nieces, nephews, great-niece and great-nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Gaylor. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 2, 2015, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home , 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL, proceeding to St. Ann Catholic Church, 3010 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL, for Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. Friends are invited to visit on Sunday, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of the Calumet Area. Mike retired after 38 years at Morrison Construction. He was a member of St. Ann's Church in Lansing. He was hardworking and always willing to give a helping hand. His happy disposition and sense of humor kept everyone smiling. His "useless" knowledge (as he always said) was endless. ELEANOR R. GORSKI CROWN POINT, IN Eleanor R. Gorski, age 81, of Crown Point, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at St. Anthony Medical Center in Crown Point. She was born on February 27, 1933 in Chicago, IL to the late Carl and Martha (nee Kauffman) Dietrich. Eleanor was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Crown Point and an active member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Eleanor is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert L. Gorski of Crown Point, IN; two sons: Mark (Lori) Gorski of Sammammish, Washington and Corey (Holly) Gorski of Puyallup, Washington; one daughter, Carla (Thomas) Russell of Grand Junction, Colorado; six and a third grandchildren: Samantha, Blake, Zane, Thor, Finn Gorski, Jovy Russell and baby boy Russell due July 1, 2015; brother, Fred Dietrich and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bob Dietrich. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7667 E. 109th Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307. Rev. Thomas E. Mischler officiating. Memorial visitation will be Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church. GRIFFITH, ONDA JO CHEEVER  
ONDA JO CHEEVER GRIFFITH, IN October 16, 1928 January 28, 2015 Jo Cheever, 86 of Griffith, IN passed away January 28, 2015. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Don) Binole of Dyer; her two grandchildren: Bryan of St. John and Marissa of Indianapolis; and her sister Suzie (Earl) Keel of N.C. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill, who served in the Air Force during World War II, and her parents Pud and Thelma Marshall. Jo graduated from Russiaville High School, Russiaville, IN in 1946. She worked as a secretary in various places, one of them being Highland High School. She enjoyed playing bridge and watching movies. She especially loved those times when she babysat with her grandchildren, attended their Grandparent's Day activities at school and birthday parties. Visitation will be at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home 242 North Griffith Boulevard, Griffith on Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Tim Powers officiating. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Anthony's Hospice, or the charity of your choice.

Glenn, Ronald "Ron" - Portage  
RONALD "RON" GLENN HOBART, IN Ronald "Ron" Glenn, age 84, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at his home in Hobart. Ron was born to Laura Hazel and Fred Glenn in Gary. After graduating from Horse Mann High School and serving in the Marine Corp he received his Engineering Degree from Purdue University. He then began his career in industrial and commercial construction. This took him to several states building churches, schools, office buildings, airport hangers, hotels and the Star Theatre. For the past 25 years he worked in CA where among other things he built the launch pads at Vandenburg Air Force Base for the space program. Throughout his career he received many awards for numerous projects and was recognized for his outstanding work by Who's Who in Construction. Ron was very community minded and was a member and officer in numerous organizations. He also was very supportive of his wife's numerous charitable organizations not only with his money but his time. Since returning to IN Ron attended First United Methodist Church in Hobart. He is survived by his wife, Lou; daughter, Diane (Robert) Thiel; son, Richard (Deanna); granddaughters: Erika and Hailey Glenn, Kelly and Amy Thiel; nieces: Laura (Ed) Karsten their three children and grandchildren, Dina (Ted) Hernandez, their two sons, and Nikki Petroff. He also leaves his best friend and brother-in-law, L.J. (Bud) Crist, wife, Sharon and their family. Preceded in death by his sister, Doris (Nick) Petroff. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel , 600 W. Old Ridge Rd. with Rev. Robert Carder officiating.
