Anne A. Harris

Anne A. Harris of Mechanicsburg, PA passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014. Born June 14, 1925 in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Langhan) Coggins. Anne, a resident of Messiah Village, was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg and was active in the church’s Leisure Club. Prior to moving to Mechanicsburg, she resided in Gary and Hobart, IN and was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She was a kind and gentle woman who was deeply loved by her family. She loved to travel with her husband and friends. Anne was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Harold Harris; brothers: John, James, and Thomas Coggins; as well as sisters: Catherine Burkel and Mary Williams. She is survived by her sister, Irene M. Koester of Mechanicsburg; and many beloved nieces and nephews. There will be a viewing from 10:30 to 11:00 AM on Monday, February 24, 2014 at the Burns Funeral Home & Crematory, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point. Burial will immediately follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville. Memorial contributions may be made to either St. Joseph Catholic Church, 400 E.
