Dolores P. (Rozewski) Durkovich

DOLORES P. DURKOVICH (NEE ROZEWSKI) WHITING, IN Dolores P. Durkovich (nee Rozewski), 84 of Whiting, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the Community Hospital in Munster. She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, John J. Durkovich; loving mother of Donna (Corky) Klobucar of St. John, IN; cherished grandmother of Zak (fiancée, Courtney Keller) Klobucar, Tim Klobucar, Jeff (Lauren) Klobucar and Dan Klobucar; dear sister-in-law of Margaret (Gerald) Zimmerman; dearest aunt to many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by four sisters, Sr. Floretta, Mary Rozewski, Ceil Rozewski, and Betty Klaja; and three brothers: Joseph, Frank, and John Rozewski. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 22, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Whiting with the Rev. Stanley J. Dominik, officiating. Interment at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Visitation at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Dolores Durkovich was born on January 5, 1929 in Chicago, IL to John and Agnes Rozewski and was a graduate of Mercy High School, Chicago, Class of 1947. Dolores was longtime resident of Whiting and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Whiting, the St. Ann Sodality (prayers, Sunday at 3:00 p.m.), the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Assoc., BR. 452, and the Whiting K of C Wives Club (prayers, Sunday at 6:30 p.m.). The Knights of Columbus Pope John XXIII Council 1696 will offer prayers at the funeral home on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. Dolores was a devoted wife and mother and most proud of her four grandsons.
