GENEVIEVE T. BUROSH EAST CHICAGO, IN
Genevieve T. Burosh (nee Delitko), age 96, of East Chicago, IN passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014. She is survived by three children: Joseph (Sandra) Burosh Jr. of Hammond, Joanne Burosh of East Chicago and John Burosh of East Chicago; three grandchildren: Bryan Burosh of South Bend, Gregory Burosh of Chicago, IL and Tony Burosh of Hammond; three great grandchildren: Austin, Marissa and Louie; six nephews: John (Bernie) Burosh, David (Mary) Burosh, Don (Melanie) Burosh, Dan (Cheryl) Burosh, Kenny (Janet) Somenzi, Mark Delitko; and numerous great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Burosh was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Burosh Sr.; parents: Emil and Michalina Delitko; seven brothers: Stanley (Anna Hrpka), Emil, John, Raymond, Eddie, Tofiel, Emil Delitko; and sister, Bernice (James) Farkas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, February 24, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 808 W. 150th St., East Chicago, IN with Msgr. John Siekierski officiating. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family Saturday, February 22, 2014 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and Sunday, February 23, 2014 from 1:00-7:00 p.m. (Rosary 3:00 p.m., American Legion Ladies Auxiliary 3:30 p.m.) at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN. Mrs. Burosh was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and the Rosary Sodality and Happy Timers Seniors. She was a member of the Work of the Holy Angels, Our Lady of Fatima Blue Army, Lay Missionaries of Charity, Carmelite 3rd order , the Rosa Mystica Prayer Group, and the St. Mary Prayer Group in Griffith. Genevieve also organized Our Lady of Guadalupe Pilgrim Image for home visit. She was a member of the American Legion Post #369 Ladies Auxiliary and T.O.P.S.. Genevieve was formerly employed at Olympia Restaurant, Queen Anne Candy Company, Spring Packing, G.A.T.X. and retired from St. Catherine Hospital. She also enjoyed playing bingo.
