GEORGE T. ZACHAR "BUD" FORMERLY OF CROWN POINT AND GLEN PARK, IN

George T. "Bud" Zachar, age 85, formerly of Crown Point and Glen Park, passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, April 6, 2013 after a lengthy illness. Bud is survived by two daughters: Susan (Michael) Milby and Pamela (Don) Kregel; four grandchildren: Jeff Everett, Lisa Everett, Megan Kregel, and Kelly Kregel; one great grandson, Nicholas Everett Ovanek; and grand-pets: Puppy, Susie, Leo, and Sophia. On June 2, 1951 George married his wife, Dolores, who preceded him in death in 1994. Also preceding him and waiting patiently to take a walk again, faithful companions: Shiner and Frosty. Bud graduated from Lew Wallace High School and was a proud World War II Army veteran, serving as a "Sail-Dier" on a ship in the North Atlantic. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre, (two blocks east of Broadway) at 606 E. 113th Ave./E. South St., Crown Point, IN from 2:00 PM until time of memorial service at 5:00 PM. A dinner to celebrate Bud's life will immediately follow the memorial service in the funeral home reception centre. Private burial will take place Monday, April 15, 2013. Bud was a loving husband, Father and Papa who will be greatly missed.
