James A. Warner

James A. Warner, age 81, of Crown Point, IN passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at St. Mary Medical Center. James is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia; two daughters: Jean (Chris) Thurman of Crown Point and Karen Warner of Crown Point; five grandchildren: Abigail and Olivia Pillar, and Warner, Amelia and Trey Thurman; and brothers-in-law: Jerry (Judy) Trump and Dale (Cheryl) Trump. He was preceded in death by his parents: Arthur and Ethel Warner. James was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Crown Point, IN and was a retired fireman from the Crown Point Fire Department with over 40 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War, owned and operated Warner’s Tap in Crown Point during the 1980’s, and was a graduate of Crown Point High School Class of 1951. Friends may visit with the family Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre (two blocks east of Broadway) at 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN from 1:00 to 6:00 PM with an IVFA Service at 5:00 PM. Additional visitation will be held on Monday, November 4, 2013 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 250 S. Indiana Ave., Crown Point, IN from 10:30 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM with Pastor David Easterday and Pastor David Kipp officiating. Interment to follow at City of Crown Point Historic Maplewood Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to: Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church or School.
