Jason William Belko

JASON WILLIAM BELKO HOBART, IN Jason William Belko age 23 of Hobart passed away Saturday, January 12, 2008 from an accident at Arcelor Mittal Mill. Jason was a graduate of Bishop Noll High School class of 2002. Member of United Steelworkers Local 1011. Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Edward and Patricia Belko; maternal grandfather, William P. Shefcik; and uncle Chuck Shefcik. Survivors: love of his life, Fiancee, Janette Reitmeier of St. Joe, IL; parents: Marc and Carolyn Belko; brothers: Jeremy, Justin and Joshua all of Merrillville; maternal grandmother, Yvonne Shefcik of Naperville, IL; uncles: Bill Shefcik of Naperville, Patrick (Lena) Shefcik of Prescott Valley, AZ, Thomas Belko of Highland, Jack (Diana) Belko of East Chicago, IN; best friend, Steve Kolarczyk. Jason was loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed. Funeral service Thursday, January 17, 2008, 9:30 a.m. Geisen Funeral Home, 7905 Broadway, Merrillville with a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 801 W. 73rd Ave., Merrillville. Rev. Richard H. Ameling, officiating. Burial to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville. Friends may visit with the family at Geisen Funeral Home, Merrillville on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family wishes memorials to be made in Jason's name to Special Olympics of Illinois, Eastern Prairie Area 8, 902 N.
