Judith Ann Oney Moore

JUDITH ANN ONEY MOORE HAMMOND, IN/TAMPA, FL Judith Ann Oney Moore, age 63, passed from this life at her residence in Tampa, FL on November 24, 2012. Judith is survived by her sons: Virgil (Debbie) Moore and Richard Moore, both of Tampa, FL; five brothers: Bob Oney, Bill (Mary Ann) Oney, Gary Oney, Jack (Margaret) Oney, and James (Cheryl) Oney; aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Virgil and Bonnie (Sparks) Oney; husband, Maurice Moore; sister-in-law, Coralee Oney. Judith was born at Olive Hill, KY in December 1949. At the age of seven, her family moved to Hammond, IN where Judith successfully completed her education, graduating from the Hammond Technical High School. She continued her formal education, receiving a BA in Education at the Calumet College, and a MA from Indiana University. Judith pursued her career in Education, teaching Elementary Education at several school within the Hammond district, both private and public sectors. In 1995, Judith, Maurice, and sons moved to the state of Florida, where she resided until her passing. Throughout her lifetime, Judith was involved in various charities and chapter organizations. Her greatest joy came from founding her prayer circles, one of which, "The Praying Angels", encompassed many global groups. Words are inadequate to describe the impact of Judith's life on her family and friends. Indeed, she loved her family, and made them a priority. She possessed strong faith in God, which sustained her through out challenges presented during her lifetime, even to death. Fully persuaded of her hope in God, she lived her Christian ideals. Life is not forever; thankfully, Judith is a lovely memory to those who knew and loved her. Rest in Peace, Beautiful Soul.
