Linda J. Sadler

LINDA J. SADLER MERRILLVILLE/HAMMOND Linda J. Sadler, 63, of the Golden Living Center, Merrillville, formerly of Hammond, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 9, 2013. She was the beloved daughter of the late Paul and Josephine (Rakoczy) Sadler. She is survived by two special cousins: Diane Sadler and Louise (Don) Kaminsky all of Whiting; dear niece of Sr. Mary Sarto Sadler, OSB of the St. Scholastica Monastery, Duluth, MN, and Jimmie Sadler of Merrillville; many numerous dear cousins. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whiting with her cousin, the Rev. Walter J. Rakoczy, officiating. Interment to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond. Visitation at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. to time of services. Linda Sadler was born on November 4, 1949 and was a lifelong resident of the Calumet Region. She was a graduate of Gavit High School and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish from Purdue University Calumet. Linda was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whiting. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Golden Living Center, Merrillville for the compassion and care that was shown to Linda and to the many friends that kept in contact with Linda through the years.
