NICK J. PAMPALONE Crown Point, IN

Nick J. Pampalone, age 88, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2014. He is survived by his brothers - Angelo (Priscilla) Pampalone, Dominic (Judy) Pampalone, Sam Pampalone; sister - Gasparine Pampalone; step-daughters - Mary Peterson, Dawn Orlich and Marilyn Forbes; granddaughter - Theresa Orosz; many nieces and nephews. Nick was preceded in death by his parents, Dominic and Agatha (Uteveggio) Pampalone; wife- Theresa; brothers - Leo, Mike and Anthony; sisters - Rosalie and Lucy. Nick was a graduate of Froebel High School, Class of 1943. Nick was a veteran of the US Army having served during World War II, where he fought at the Battle of the Bulge. Nick worked for many years for his brother Mike Pampalone Insurance Agency and also owned Pampalone Liquors in Merrillville with his brother Angelo. Nick was an avid Chicago Bears fan and New York Yankees fan. Funeral service Saturday, May 10, 2014 beginning with prayers at 9:45 am at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point to St. Mary Catholic Church, 321 Joliet St. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M., Rev. Patrick Kalich officiating. Interment Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville.
