Robert J. "Rob" Crawford

ROBERT JOHN CRAWFORD VALPARAISO, IN Robert "Rob" J. Crawford, age 45, of Valparaiso, formerly of Phoenix, AZ and of Merrillville, IN departed this world on October 24, 2013. Rob is now reunited with his brother, Jason Crawford; grandparents: Walter and Genevieve Crawford; grandparents: John and Lucille Shudick; and many other loving family members and friends who are welcoming Rob into the Heavens. Rob was born on July 1st, 1968 in Gary and grew up in Merrillville. Rob attended Andrean High School and graduated in 1986. Rob attended Butler University and Indiana University where he attained multiple Degrees. Rob continued his education by entering the I.T. field where he earned numerous Certificates. Rob was employed by PCM as a Sr. Network Engineer. Rob was an avid reader and music savant. Rob had an unparalleled collection of books and vinyl records. Rob truly enjoyed sharing his knowledge, especially with his niece and nephew. Rob's love will carry on and his life will be forever remembered and celebrated by those who survive him: parents: Robert W and Christine E Crawford of Valparaiso; brother, Jeremy (Jessica) Crawford of Crown Point; nephew, Braden Crawford and niece, Jillian Crawford of Crown Point; aunts and uncles: John - Godfather (Mary) Crawford of Valparaiso, Ruth - Godmother (Ralph) Sisco of Bellingham, WA, Kathleen (Robert) Lamb of Houston, TX, Robert (Sharon) Shudick of Valparaiso, Susan Pillar of Lowell, Maggie (late Dave) Crawford of Crown Point, Paul (Jan) Shudick of Stanwood, WA, Joe (Kat) Crawford of Freeport, IL, Mike (Judy) Crawford of DeMotte; many supportive and loving cousins and best friend, Tony Sandilla. A private Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton officiated by Father Douglas Mayer with internment Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. Donations can be made in Rob's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in lieu of flowers.
