Lottie Puplava

Lottie M. Puplava (Teborski) Valparaiso/East Chicago/Whiting/Hammond Lottie M. (Teborski) Puplava, 77, of Whiting, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2004. She was a resident of Whispering Pines Health Care Facility, Valparaiso, at the time of her passing. Lottie was preceded in death by her spouse, Thomas C. Puplava, parents Joseph and Stella Teborski and six other siblings. She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara (James) Herrick of Seabrook, TX and Frances (James) Russell of Valparaiso; four grandchildren, Jim (Monica) Herrick, Mary (Alan) Robertson, Justin (Jill) Russell and Matthew Russell; one great grandson, Ryan Robertson; and many nieces and nephews. A native of East Chicago, Lottie was a resident of the Whiting/Hammond area for 56 years. She was a devout member of the Immaculate Conception Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, actively particpated as a member of St. Ann Sodality, and sang with the church choir. She retired from GATX Corp. Plant #1 in East Chicago, where she was employed as a switchboard operator and receptionist. Following cremation at Angelcrest Crematory, at Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso, Lottie will be laid to rest at Angelcrest Cemetery in Valparaiso.
