DENO KOTTARIDIS INDIANAPOLIS, IN Deno Kottaridis, 83, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2013 with his loving wife, Lynette, at his side. Deno was a gifted, humble athlete who inspired people of all ages on and off the field. He was admired and beloved for his devotion to family and friends and his terrific sense of humor and infectious laugh. The eldest son of the late James and Eugenia (Phelleos) Kottaridis of Gary, IN, Deno graduated from Emerson High School playing football, basketball and baseball. He graduated in 1949, the year he made the most touchdowns in his high school conference along with his teammates who became lifelong friends. Deno went on to play football at Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. A loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle, he is survived by devoted wife, Lynnette (nee Clarke); daughter, Terri (Frank) Libby, Chris (Karen) Kottaridis, and Steve (Penny) Kottaridis; grandchildren: Jared, Alexandra and Owen Libby, Trish, Tony, Colin and Katie Kottaridis; sisters: Ruby (late Leonard) Niepokoj and Tula (George) Tasicas. Preceded in death by brother, Pete (Ginger) Kottaridis. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 1:00-4:00 p.m., Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center, Washington Park North, 2706 Kessler Blvd. W. Drive, Indianapolis, IN.
