To Connie, (My Mom & Dad: Joyce & Floyd Maynard)Uncle Don & Jayne, Aunt Joan, Cousins Randy, Pam, DeeDee and the grandchildren & great grandchildren: We are so very sad that Uncle Bob is gone. Family is so precious and the times that we shared together will always be in our hearts. My family had great family gatherings with Uncle Bob & Aunt May and also with Aunt Ann. We miss them all dearly.

Uncle Bob was a good son to Grandpa
Hickman, they worked on their antique cars. He did a lot of chores for Grandma Hickman around the house too. He was a good so to have and my grandparents were very proud of him.

Uncle Bob loved great food like the Gonnella fresh Italian bread, he knew where it was the freshest and what days the bread came into the stores. He also loved good Pizza and Aunt Ann's Italian beef sandwiches.

Connie thanks for being there for Uncle Bob and giving him happiness.

Cousins Randy, Pam & Dee Dee your Dad was a good father. I remember the good times we all had when we were growing up.
Uncle Bob was a skilled master of whatever he tackled, wjether it be house building, photograhy or family life. He was in much demand in Hobart for the handiwork that he did.

May the Lord Jesus give you all comfort in this time of sorrow.

Though it's hard to see the reason why things happen as they do, I still remember the first time I meet Bob and his family, the last time my family was with him; now to only be fun memories. Thanks Connie for being there for him, during the good and bad times. Thanks Pam for being a great daughter, being there when he needed you and for your family providing the love and support. May God bless you, comfort you and bring you peace. Thanks to all who made us feel welcomed at the family reunion and for the good time we had; it was very much appreciated.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family at this very difficult time. I was glad we could share some time at the family reunion this year. I will always remember uncle Bob with his quick smile, and soft demeanor. The times spent at my home when we where young are memories I cherish and share with my son. They bring a joy to my life. Uncle Bob will always live in my heart.

Dear Family of Mine, Dad & Mom (Floyd & Joyce Maynard) My brothers and sisters (John, David, Quintina, Sarah, Sharon), Aunt Connie,Uncle Don & Aunt Jayne, Aunt Joan,Cousins Randy, Dee, Pam, Paul, Dwayne, Todd,Karah,Troy, Terry, Tonya, and their families who all loved Uncle Bob so much.

I am sure I have forgotten some names.
My Uncle Bob and Aunt Mae always had a wonderful place for us to visit. I dont ever remember him getting after any of his neices and nephews. He always helped my Dad & Mom a lot when they would build their houses. Uncle Bob went to TN on vacation with us. Uncle Bob and Aunt Ann loved each other and were a good couple, I miss Aunt Ann too. She was fun to talk to and made such good Italian foods.

Uncle Bob's love of Fresh Gonnella Italian bread
would have him to know the days it came in fresh. He loved Pizza also.

He enjoyed helping Grandpa Hickman with his antique cars. And he did a lot to help Grandma Hickman too. Different chores around the house and just being a good son.

Aunt Connie thank you for bringing joy into his life and caring for him.

To Uncle Bob's grandchildren that I have never met I would love to hear from you. Uncle Bob did tell me about the family reunion and how he met some of his grandchildren he had not seen in a very long time.

And Dad & Mom thanks for bringing us to Uncle Bob and Aunt Mae's when we were growing up. Family is very important and cherish every day you have with your family.Randy, Pam, Dee I miss you and the fun we had.

I cannot say enough about Robert L. Hickman. He comes from a great family, hard workers, family orientated. He had a lot of hobbies in which he excelled.Photography, restoring old cars, house building and many more.

Aunt Connie I pray that God will give you comfort in this difficult time.I just talked to Uncle Bob several months ago whe Hobart had a bad storm, I wanted to see if he was okay. We had a good talk, he said he loved me and missed me and I told him that I missed all my family in IN. And other states where family moved to.

Let Jesus carry you through the storms of life, come what may, he is always there, ever loving us, ever watchful of our steps.

Uncle Bob's family is welcome to contact my husband and I by email. Aunt Jayne Hickman also has my home address. May the Lord give you all comfort in this time.

Sincere sympathy wishes on the loss of your husband, father, and grandfather. I will always remember Uncle Bob as a quiet man, who like my dad enjoyed eating good food and still remained thin. Here's to the many family get togethers and of course the recent family reunion. I think he really enjoyed visiting with both his immediate and extended family. God bless, Uncle Bob. You will be missed. Love Barbara

Our family has been so touched by God's compassion in the timing of the family reunion this last summer. I am glad to have the memories and pictures of Grandpa while he was feeling well. I am brought to tears thinking about all the family who has lost their dad/husband/grandpa/brother. North Dakota Hugs go out to everyone!

Dear Family and Friends,
I feel very blessed and thankful that after all these years I finally got to meet all my father's side of the family. My grandpa and I share the same birthday. We knew each other from phone calls and pictures but this past summer has a very special meaning to me. I finally got to give him a hug and tell him in person how much I loved him. I'm so grateful for that reunion. I've been wanting to come for many years to meet everyone. You are all very special to me and I will miss you Grandpa, especially on Christmas Eve. I'm praying for all friends and family who are grieving. He's a special man, loved by many. I love you. Smile Grandpa, we will see each other again someday. At our next family reunion. -Leslie Velazquez-

I am sorry for the loss of your husband, father, and grandfather. I have many fond memories of the Sunday afternoons visiting with my cousins as my Dad, John and Uncle Bob built the Hickman home in Crown Point. Memories of our Holiday dinners and family picnics at the Gerdes' backyard. We will miss Uncle Bob but are happy we could give you the gift of a family reunion this summer and seeing all of your grandchildren and great-grandchildren from North Dakota.
